Still in office...

It's coming to an end of year 2007.... Looking back what I had done throughout the who year of 2007. Basically, majority of the time was spent on my undergraduate studies, and now I'm already working in a stressful environment.

Seems like most people are having half day session today, but I'm still in office. Fortunately, everything seems quite smoothly today, got a green light from team lead that we can all knock off at 3.30pm, which is just few minutes away. Will be having a dinner at Paramount Hotel tonight with my aunts and cousins to celebrate the New Year Eve, which really marks the end of 2007 and hope that this coming year will be a good one for all of us.

Not forgetting my good friend xinyan, hereby wish her good health and hope that she will recover very soon. =)

Time to pack up my stuff and wait for time to get pass quickly, can't wait to leave this cold area with so many "fridges/tombs" around. So noisy! Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Hate it, It's so irritating!

2 weeks of HELL~

I got to reach office at 6.30am for the next 2 weeks. Fortunately, I can claim my morning cab fare. Knock off time will be adjusted accordingly, which means i knock off at 4pm. But not sure if there is half day tomorrow. Just keeping my fingers crossed.

I need to sleep early tonight, but I just cant seem to sleep at all! ARGH!

Life.....

Back from hospital, and She look really really sick..... There's nothing we can do, other than giving moral support. =(

First day at Customer site was still okay, didn't manage to meet my team lead yet, probably tomorrow. This morning met up Myo who brought me around town in the morning to other branches to do some routine checks. Had Yakun Toast for breakfast at robinson's point. Then we took a cab back to data center.

Just got a sms message from Elvin. Telling me that xy condition got worse. My heartbeat stop for awhile. We would be heading to hospital tomorrow to visit her. Now my mind is so lost and blurred. Mixed feelings. I hope i can control my emotions tomorrow at work.

My nose is running water tap again. Help!

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Xmas 07!

It was Christmas eve yesterday, I spent the early part of the day pretty worthwhile, things were done as planned. Catch up with Brandon to pass him his clothing's from the spree, we talked for a while standing at the MRT control, told me that he is busying with his house shifting. His schoolwork was quite intensive, pretty much similar to mine the last time.

Ling decided to change the meeting time cos she found out that she has a halfday yesterday, so I had decided to make my iPod Touch redemption first and pass to Panda Foo first, saw his NEW gf! This time round, I took my revenge on him! He should know what has happened, shouldn't reveal too much here. HEHEHE! Shortly after, sis called me to check out a handbag from BONIA that my aunt wanted to buy, as there is this limited edition model for sale which is sold out like almost everywhere in town. After much chatting with my aunt and confirmed the model, I realized that piece is the 2nd last piece. Woot!

Had lunch with Ling(Porky)! We had something simple for lunch and walked around after that. Settled down at Starhub to slack for awhile before deciding to leave that area and returned to Wisma when we saw the dark clouds forming up. Smart ppl like us(preemptive measure)! =P Later, she seems to see her friends one after another. HAHA!

Upon reaching tanan merah mrt, I was suppose to do some mailing for Ling, but I really forgotten to do! When she told(cursed) me earlier that I will definitely forget to mail for her! HAHAHA!

This year will be the last year we will be celebrating here, as my uncle will be shifting over to his pent-house next Jan/Feb. Pictures speak louder than words. Let's check out the pics!

All of us sat down together and watched Movie 881, I have been wanting to watch this movie for so long! Indeed a nice and hilarious typical local movie, Hokkien people will enjoy it to the max! It's rather touching towards the last part, and not forgetting there are several nice songs in the movie. Got to wait for my uncle to buy the CD, then I borrow from him!

Just slightly passed midnight, I have problems sending out my SMSes already, kept getting the sending failure messages. It only went through around 0030hrs. ZZZZZZ! So sian! But at the least, it is within the first hour okayz!

It's Xmas Eve Tomorrow!

Sister dragged me out with her this morning, introduced to me a new friend which is so lively at kinda cute & funny chap at his age. We went around central to look for a good deal piano/keyboard, due to budget constraints, he ended up buying an average beginner set which cost $699 after xmas discount. Look pretty decent but we still feel that the $1500 set looks better. But this set is good enough for a beginner already, he will get a better one next time. This guy looks like Chang Ru Feng Jerry, an ex-mediacorp artiste who acted in the Legend of the 8 Immortals. Pretty jovial guy which resembles myself. Hee! Then later found out that he is into music publishing and his good friend is Jim, one of the guy from Dreamz FM (Meng Fei Chuan), you should know who is he if you had watched the Campus Superstars Season 2, he is the round round guy aka the 1st judge.

Just reached home not long ago, went walking around suntec and marina square with sis, in the end I didn't get anything for myself as most of the designs that I wanted ran out of Medium size. Damn disappointed! Went to eat at Carls Jrs, and later went down to Dunman Food Centre for proper dinner. I'm gonna introduce this Wanton Mee Stall to Porky! The chilli is damn spicy! I was told not to mix the entire portion given at the side of the plate, but the little bit of it already spice me up to max! I can feel the burning inside my stomach and slowly out from my nostrils and finally my eyes. Damn cool and power I would to say, for someone who seldom take spicy food. Apart from the spice, the noodle is very different from what I had eaten all these while, very unique and springy! There are 2 stalls over there, so hunt for Eng's Stall! Though i heard the other stall is also quite popular as well.

I am sleepy sleepy sleepy... time to sleep. Tomorrow gonna be a busy day. Christmas gathering with auntie tomorrow night. Eat Eat n Eat! Countdown and follow by gift exchange! :P Partying!!!!

Sad friday!

Now it's time for me to say goodbye to my master aka jedi. 我下山了! Finally, started packing up my things from my pedestal like Ling had done it weeks ago. Can really feel the danger out there (Enterprise) and the most unbearable feeling was I had to carry so many things back home. Now I understood why she complained back then. As usual, being an emotional guy, tend to have some feelings with the office and how 'slack' they used to comment about me in office. Can still remember the first month when all of us were in the office, working hard+chatting+lunch+etc. And now, all of us are being placed to different accounts which is the reason why all of us were here for. Kinda saddening though, but I know I will return probably around Jan 3 & 4 as we have some briefing session for my overseas trip. Wee! Not forgetting the snacks I put at the Admin area. HEE. jkjk! The snacks are meant for them.

Yesterday I had my dinner at PSA Building which is around 10mins walk from my office. It looked pretty deserted the moment I reached the place. Logically, the first thing came to my mind is who the hell will come here for dinner, as everyone can't wait to leave the office as soon as they can! You can imagine around 7pm, the whole restaurant was only occupied by us, which is only 1 table. LOL~! Food there was quite reasonable and their service was really fast cos there were only around 6 tables dining in the restaurant. HEE! Probably weekends we gotta wait much longer.

OFFICE

Heard from Ling that she gotta work from 3pm to 2359 tomorrow. Sounds so sianz and indeed it is cos it is damn SATURDAY today! Not sure if today can claim as off or not? I can see the lethargic in her eyes! She look really jaded to me. Hai.... We are just cheap labours! Grr.... Hope everything go smoothly and she can leave her office as soon as possible. Hang on ger! Let's endure this period together! Though I will be like you very soon, or rather like Myo! LOL. Maybe I can slim down more! =S

Heard from Mel that Myo actually still working around 9pm while I was having my dinner, suddenly felt abit shattered but luckily I realized it's becos he need to rush 17 servers to be up by tonight. Though he left around 11pm, he told me not to worry. But i will still preempt myself a little. Things are really different compared to main office. Just hope places can be as good as my Poly attachment, with nice people. But i doubt! LOL

Singnet Customer!

I am so happy that my set up works! Reached home around 12+ last night, had a small problem as in why my lappie can access the internet through my router, called Dan for help but in the end we both gave up. Has decided to call up Singnet helpdesk this morning. We MUST make full use of their service else they will be out of job, isn't it? :P

Apparently, the thing that we have overlooked was the DNS address... Whereby this word sounds so familiar to me. I should have know this problem long ago. But even if I know its the problem, the ultimate move is still to call them up. Cos I do not have the IP address as well. HEHEHE.

What matters most is I can access INTERNET now! COOL... The moment I load my blog, can see the speed really pumping up within seconds, I'm referring to my imeem music loading bar, when I was using MOL last time, it crawls! And yet I'm paying so much more every month and get CONNED (porky will have something to say again!) .... Humph! Currently, I am using 3Mbps compared to my premium plan which is 6.5Mbps last time. See the difference!

We enjoyed the food yesterday, jerem (Dan's bro) almost vomited in the toilet. LOL! That sounds really funny when he used to be someone who can clean up the whole table. HEHE! Can see that he really slimmed down a fair lot. Shall upload those stupid pics later when i finish packing up the mess I have done last time while trying to set up the connection. My bed is in a MESS! HELP HELP HELP!! Porky Get ya ass here and help out! =)

Last day of my internet access

Finally, I'm saying bye bye to my starhub MOL plan after subscribing it for 2 years. Relatively, it has serve me well but just that the transferring speed between singnet and mine has been pretty slow. Other than that, I'm quite satisfied with the service. Gotta welcome Singnet plan on 19th Dec, hopefully i can try to set up the modem and stuff tomorrow night when i return from my bro birthday dinner. So let's hope i can settle it asap, else I won't be online anytime starting from now. I think i better post this entry first before my internet gets cut off in anytime now. HEE!

Tomorrow will be meeting my manager to have a detailed and instructions on what he has installed for me with regards to my placement next Monday, when everybody else is clearing their shutdown leave next week. Hmph! Friday will have to get our hands dirty to reshuffle the servers in the racks. Actually, I am rather looking forward to it as this will be a good experience for me to still "play around" in a lab environment before moving on to the real world.

Porky hurt her fatty forehead after work today, clumsy ger, but alittle poor thing... hehe. I bet it should be blue-blacked by now.. =) Hope she is fine now or probably by tomorrow.. Sis & Bro's gf bought me tee for advance xmas pressies... everybody is like buying xmas gifts already. At least they have love ones to give it to. Well, who should i get those pressies for? Let me consider first.... =P

Feeling rather emo today while listening to Guang Liang and Fan Wei Qi new songs. The office is getting more and more quiet as the day goes by. Apart from the rest who are clearing leaves, some of us has already being posted to the designated customer site, very quickly it will be my turn. Still trying to deceive myself for not asking my manager where will I be posted to, thinking it might delay any further, but to my naive thoughts, most likely they will tell me within this week. To face the music bravely, guess I will ask him tomorrow.

Porky found my blog today! Actually, I was the one who told her. =) She is so meanie! I thought of writing her bad schuff in here and yet she got in here as well. So should I still watch what I am going to say here in future, the answer is NO! Shall not give u a damn! Reached mall after work, it started to pour the moment I come out from the MRT control, feeling damn unlucky so I started to wander around mall first before I decide to bash across the traffic lights despite being only drizzling state. Out of a sudden, I saw Khairul from my secondary school, a student councilor friend of mine who stayed the same block as me! Happily he sheltered me back home. How lucky can one get ya? Another friend who got stunned again upon hearing that I am actually working with a degree, while they are all still schooling in local Uni. He was telling me that he felt so old at the age of 23 who is still schooling. Well... I can only tell him his school is reputable and most importantly it's a local varsity. So can't really compare with mine, where people will start to dig their ears by asking WHAT? University of ChuaLaLongKong? From China or Thailand? ROFL!

Sunny Sunday

Life as per normal and I am getting pretty fine with work now. Though my post has been lesser and lesser these days, actually I am really lazy to turn on my laptop. LOL. Probably just busy with things, I will warm my laptop more often.

Manager came back last Friday and we only had a short session as he got to rush off for meeting. Out of all the agenda that I have written, he seems to agree in everything which is quite easily anticipated by myself.

If there is no more changes, I will be traveling to Manila from 22 Jan to 1 Feb. But before this overseas placement, I'm still unsure on which account I would be posted to. No doubt its only the 2 left for me, so nothing much to shout about. Just take it as it comes to me. =)

Had a few rounds of bogglific with Ling last night, pretty a fun game that really twists your brain a little, but then I am just shucks at it, I lost in every rounds, she just didn't give me any chance at all. So meanie! Luckily she doesn't read my blog, else I am dead. She would whack me real hard. HEHEHE. Really enjoyed the time spent with her though. =)

It's Monday tomorrow, but with a holiday in between the week really spurs me up. HEE. It's my bro Birthday this Wednesday, so would be eating with Dan and the rest that evening. Skinny people like us (me + Dan) should eat more ya! LOL

Weekend!

Had a enjoyable session with Ling today, went eating, walking and shopping around at town. Later part of the day, I met up with sk to SLS for his PC repairs. Been spending quite a lot these days, mainly on makans & transports. Spent on Online Spress and also the Friend's Wedding dinner! HEHEHE.

It was pouring almost the whole of today though it was kinda intermittent. Nice weather to stay at home to sleep anyway.

Finally, I got pawned!

Back from lunch for a while, suddenly 2 person walked over and asked me to go to paya lebar XXXXXXX building to do some patching issues. Apparently, the person who asked me to go down doesn't seem to have much instructions for me, somehow of rather I felt that she is pretty unsure of the things going on despite being in charge of this assignment.

After packing my stuff and off i go, took a cab down.....

Spent the first hour there trying to get the list of information from her and slowing finding out the way to the room, tracing the racks and finally down to the cables. The labels are in a mess and its REALLY hard to trace those ports and server that i want cos it's my FIRST time there. Later, I found that the list she sent is not up to date. Being initiative, I got hold of one staff who is from my company and got a latest copy from him.

The last hour or so, called her back and see what she wants me to do, then she approached my jedi. Had a conference call then, did some plugging in/out and checking, seems like i plugged the wrong cable from the onboard card, but plugging it back and the server rebooted, not sure what the impact to these, but hack care! It's already done!

Finally, decided to gave up at around 5.50pm, will be going down again tomorrow and also not forgetting my manager is back from holidays tomorow. Will really need to sit down with him tomorrow and have a long chat, and I bet he should have a lot of things to tell me. :P

ITS FRIDAY tomorrow!!! WOOT. Something to shout about! But right now, I'm blowing my nose away, sick sick sick suddenly, super duper flu! I'm dying..... help help! I guess I' really too exhausted. Flu = not enough sleep...

Joyful Wedding Night

Finally, the day has come! The very first school/classmate of mine (Jannelle) got married yesterday. Apparently, another ex-classmate of mine also got married but I was not invited cos kinda lost contact years ago, but I still read her blog sometimes. :)

Yesterday dinner was good, dishes relatively as per normal wedding banquet. Took some liquour, but was feeling stomach cramp thereafter, then I realised I had liquor with an empty stomach, cos I was really damn hungry as the dinner started really late. Drinking was the only alternative to fill the stomach.

Jannelle is one of closest friend(girl) back in poly days, as we often used to take bus home after class. Thereafter, our classmates kept pairing us and saying we were an item. LOL. A very nice girl indeed but just too bad that the feelings and chemistry wasn't there at that time. Then lately, I found out her sister used to be the same class as my brother during primary school days. On top of these, I saw the wedding video and realised she was from my primary school too? How come I am not aware? Gotta double check with her next time! HEEHEE!

Although her hubby is slightly much older than her, but what matter most is she found herself someone she really likes and someone who likes and adores her so much. Can really see the happiness in her last night. So when will it be my turn? I don't want to be the last person to get married manz!! Later I will have problem finding 'bros & sis'... LOL~ Anyway, jerem and I were chatting in the cab after the dinner, we were gossiping about the age of his hubby and their first kid issue, so ultimately, they must have a kid ASAP man!

Yesterday was also a night for class gathering, to really see everyone is doing good, rachel should be doing quite well and seems highly paid. Next time if I wanna jumpship, maybe i should consult my classmate for help. =)

Before I left office yesterday, team lead told me I will be posted to xxxxxxxxxx on the 26th, wondering if this relocation would be good as Colleague Myo is currently there to support them. It would be perfect if both of us can work together there. Pray hard... Fingers crossed!

25 years.....

I was thinking tonight show would be the same old boring award ceremony like the past years.. but apparently, it turned out to be so touching and not boring at all. It really bring back all the memories that we had over the years, can still remember all those old dramas and some of the senior artistes from SBC/TCS.

The 2 most senior artistes of all are "Bai Yan" & "Chen Mei Guang aka Cecilia"... LOL. I can still remember when i was a little kid back then, really like watching those early drama series, both of them always acted as the earthgods which looks so legendary and classic. That was when I started to pickup watching SBC/TCS channel 8 shows back then, cos it all looks so adventurous to us. It's really pretty hard to find such kind of shows nowadays as most of the artistes are so modern like, they won't really look good in classic shows. Bai Yan who is currently 88 years old, he commented that this should be his last time receiving awards, so touching~~~ and Chen Mei Guang health doesn't look good but she can still sings! They both really deserve some awards and recognition man!

It's monday again... hope it won't rain tomorrow morning else I will be damn lethargic again, gotta carry laptop to work. Tomorrow night still have to attend my polymates wedding, have not prepared my angbao yet, gonna leave it till tomorrow. Have yet to check out what bus to take too... or should i just take a train or cab? See first.... HEE

Oh yeah, just realised I can't wear casually to work tomorrow cos at night have to attend wedding dinner, so a formal dress would be suitable for the event. :(

Tmr XW will be having her 2nd TP... hope she make it through! But she sounds very low confident.. maybe i shall encourage her! pray for ya manz! :)

Lesser and lesser posts?

I was shocked to see that my previous post is on Monday. Which means to say I'm beginning to drift away from this blog.. and very soon to abandon it. HEHEHE!!

WooT! Tomorrow got a hell lotsa things to do. Will be signing up my Singnet Broadband plan tomorrow in the canteen (Whereby Starhub and Singnet has setup their booth today till tomorrow), Gotta follow up a briefing for Saturday assignment, Firedrill going on tomorrow and I'm giving presentation on behalf for the 5 of us as well. So many things to do. But to spur me on, its FRIDAY tomorrow!

Next Monday will be my classmate wedding, too bad I can't take leave to be "brothers" in the morning, but come to think of it, I've never meet the bridegroom before. So its just so funny to attend it. BX was saying that married personnel can't be "bros & sis", wonder how true it that, whatever it is, this would really sounds scary when all your close friends get married before you, then you will have this problem of finding people to be your "brothers". :P

One more thing, recently met up with some of my old friends by chance and they were all so shocked that i am currently working, guess most of them took the normal route which is going through the local varsity for their bachelors.

Going to work on a Monday has always been a chore for everybody, but at the least I still do not have the feeling of dragging myself to work kinda feeling yet. Maybe HQ environment has really been treating me very well. Cannot imagine the time when i get posted out to other accounts in the near future. =X

Wonder how is Ling 1st day at her customer's site today, hope everything turned out smoothly for her, hearing those scary stories from Myo really turned us off entirely.

Why did i set such a Title for this post? It all happened when i reached office this morning. I knew that Ling and Myo will not be around, hence i will at least expect another 2 of my peers to be around. Being so "lucky", both of them were not around as well. I guessed both of them are sick. Apart from that, 2 out of 4 admin ladies were sick as well. That make it 6 of them missing altogether. So empty for me man!

My brother went to order this older version of ipod after my purchase, although his is a older model but he has 40gb disk space compared to my 4gb, which is a difference of 10 times! LOL. My friend did tell me that HDD kinda mp3 player better don't drop it on the ground, else it will be gone. It really weighs like a brick to me but in overall I would say its a good buy as the accessories that came with it really rocks. It has a power adapter and a dock as well. That's really good as i do not have to charge my nano using usb cable through my laptop anymore! I think the power adapter alone cost quite a fair bit, correct me if I'm wrong though.

Tuesday tomorrow! 3 more days to my presentation which is this Friday. Seems like there is a fire drill going on the same day as well, in the afternoon somemore! I got this feeling it will clash with my presentation. Bad omen & feeling!

Slept early on a Friday?

After a big feast, went over to my mum's bed to rest and tune in to my nano. After like 15mins or so, dozed off... Apparently, awhile later I recalled hearing my sister calling me to go out to blow out candles, not my birthday though. Can't remembered what i replied, but i just mumbled out some crap and continued my sleep. LOL. Can really imagine how tired i was. Can't even lift up my legs and my big ass, hence i spent my night on my mum's bed instead. LOL

Had a long day of training, almost full day lesson for us. It's really back to school kinda feeling, carrying a laptop into the room and following the lecture and some hands-on practices. Was doing some scripting yesterday. Pretty fun but didn't really complete all the tasks that were given. But it's a good start for me I would to say. Ling was the first to complete, so smart of her! Think she had something to do in her mind, hence she was rushing her way through. HEE!

Yesterday Ling packed her stuff back, like shifting house. She will be attached out to other account, so will only see her like 2 times a month or so, similar outcome like what bro Myo had been through for the last 3 weeks. Very soon, me and the rest will also end up in the same situation. Out sourcing in IT are like these, we are just like prostitutes. But maybe its a high class type! :P Anyway, really miss Ling & Myo so much! Haizzzzz =(

Woot! The Aero Spree Buyer manage to open another MO for me, cool shit! I can finally get those polo that i've been eyeing since the previous MO. Hopefully the sizes doesn't get out of stock again, else i will be damn pissed. Humph!
